Shown at its public debut at the Reds Espressobar Valentine's Day event, the Jellyfish is powered by four electric auto seat motors driving stainless steel leadscrews. The sculpture "wobbles" randomly in four directions as limit switches are tripped.

The Chaos Tulips were one of four flame sculptures, brought by Fishbon, for San Francisco's first Fire Arts Exposition. The Chaos Tulips come equipped with pull cords, periodically lulling participants into moments of madness.

Kaleidoscope Flame Pulses to Drum Beat

Kaleidoscope Flame World features a small flame which responds to a nearby drum. The flame is magnified and replicated inside the kaleidoscope viewing head to create a mirrored perimeter of fire. Kids are encouraged by it's friendly robotic "take me to your leader" appearance.

The Ring of Fire is a dancing interactive flame scupture. A trained professional dancer wears a wireless sensor which translates the dancer's movements into a burning ring of fire. Perplexing...yes! But it's also the only one.

Flame Speaker Diagram

This diagram illustrates the common elements associated with the Flame Speaker. A larger single upright flame dances out of this sculpture in response to whatever music is played nearby. The ambient lighting provided by this scupture is especially riveting for dancing. This sculpture brings light and warmth, even if it remains a struggle to explain why it was created in the first place.

Fire Snakes at Xara 2005

The Fire Snakes are graceful, elegant, writhing flexible tubes of steel which spout fire. The tubes gently caress one another and even relight each other when the need arises. Even flexible metal tubes can appear to look compassionate when compared to human beings.
